Background
The National Environment Agency in partnership with the International Trade Centre (ITC) through the European Union (EU) Funded Jobs Skills and Finance (JSF) program is looking for committed and motivated youth and women to build their capacity in climate change-related skills. The week-long training will equip trainees with information and introductory knowledge and skills in a range of areas including climate change advocacy, improved Kumba Gaye Stove and Honey Production with a view to take it up as a business and also to serve as community ambassadors in advocating climate change-related challenges and opportunities.
Selection Criteria;
- Must be Gambian citizen.
- Must be aged 18-35.
- No prior experience is necessary but applicants must demonstrate a strong interest in climate change advocacy and a desire to undertake skills training.
- Trainees must be residents of the North Bank Region, Lower River Region and Central River Region.
- Women, returnees and early school leavers are particularly encouraged to apply.
