The Gambia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (GIEPA) in Collaboration with Youth Empowerment (YEP) under the Andandorr Program are inviting applications for  80 qualified youths between the ages of 15-35 in the regions of  WestCoast, Central River, and Lower River to apply for the Empretec Six Days Entrepreneurship Training Workshop.

The training would be funded by Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) under the Andandorr Program (Level 1) which is an Accelerator Entrepreneurship Programme jointly implemented by various entrepreneurship ecosystem players in The Gambia.

The eligible sectors for the training are:

  1. Information Communications Technology (ICT)
  2. Agri-business
  3. Poultry
  4. Creative Industries
  5. Fashion & Textile

Application forms are obtainable at Regional Youths Centres in WCR, CRR and LRR, GIEPA Head Office Kairaba Avenue and EMPRETEC Center in Bakau during working hours from 08.00-16.00 from Mondays to Fridays.

Criteria / Eligibility:

  • Must be Gambian and below 35 years old
    • Strong desire to start a business
    • Individual is committed to starting a business but not sure of which business idea to pursue

    • Have a business idea in one of the “Andandorr” sectors  that needs refining

    • Motivated and committed towards the program
      • Business registration is not a requirement

      Deadline for submission: 21st March 2020. Completed applications to be returned to the Regional Youth Centres in WCR,  CRR, LRR and GIEPA or YEP offices.
